Trip Essentials
Your Guide
Jarmo, aka Jobo, is an IFMGA from Finland established in Chamonix since 2012.
He met Fred when he was following the guide course with the Swedish SBO guide organisation. Shortly after he got is certification he started to collaborate from times to times with Upguides.
He's a great skier and his knowledge of the valley of Chamonix is the guarantee for some excellent skiing!
Skiing in Chamonix
The valley of Chamonix is offering a cluster of ski resorts, each one with it's own caracteristics and easily reachable from town by bus. From the low altitude at Les Houches to the 3842m of the Aiguille du midi, you will ski, depending on the conditions, in a variety of terrains: forest, high mountains, glaciers, sunny slopes in Le Brévent or La Flégère, cold mountain sides at Les Grands Montets.
The lifts, some of them mythical like the Aiguille du Midi cable car or the Montenvers train, will do most of the work for you, but if you fancvy a bit of touring you might get acess you to some even better snow!
Why Chamonix & why with us ?
Our goal with this 4 days trip is to offer you the possibility to ski one of the most amazing terrain in the world, guided with local knowledge.
What we add, and what makes the difference is our not so local perpective and our very own way of skiing: we think that crowded mountains are spoiling the fun of skiing, and that's why we've been picking for you the best possible dates regarding snow and frequentation.
Chamonix empty from skiers won't be a disappointment!
