Queyras Ski Touring Week
If you love ski touring, you have heard about the Queyras!A remote and genuine mountain range, with a snowy microclimate, that's how the Queyras can be described best. This big mountain area in the Hautes-Alpes region in France has a lot to offer for ski touring, a great variety of landscapes, and guaranteed solitude!
Trip Essentials

Why the Queyras?
If you're here, it probably means you love ski touring, so it's about time to discover one of the very best playground in the french alps!
The Queyras is mostly known in France among skiers for the intensity of the "retour d'est", a low pressure system coming from the east, and dumping big amounts of snow on the border between France and Italy.
Lots of snow, that sounds good? Add also some of the best larch forest in the alps, few people, genuine villages and a vast choice of altitude slopes, and you have the recipe for a skier's paradise!
During this week, the program will be dynamic, following the conditions (snow and weather), as well as the level and expectations of the participants. Here in Queyras, there's some terrain from the ski touring beginners to the steep slope experts!
See below to get an idea of what's possible.

Travelling to the Queyras
Le Queyras is a mountain range located south-east of the Ecrins National Park and the city of Briançon.
Despite its remoteness, it's rather easy to reach our meeting point in Saint Véran.
If you drive, Saint Véran is 3.5h from Grenoble, 1.5 from Briançon.
If you prefer the public transportation there are many alternatives that you can check here.
We recommend also the Neige Express, a bus service from some of the main french cities, all the way to the heart of the Queyras!.

Fabien, your guide.
Fabien Suiffet is the one in our team who knows the Queyras best.
Pure product of the Maurienne valley, Fabien is originally from Lanslebourg but is now living in the Hautes-Alpes, very close to the mountains of Queyras where he found something quite similar to home: remote mountains, great forest skiing and intense snowfalls during the Retour d'Est.
Fabien has been skiing intensivley in the Queyras, and has a special knowledge of the range thanks to Perrine, his wife, who has bee a hut keeper in a forbidden spot of the Queyras...
Combined with his natural good mood and his obsession to find good snow, Fabien, aka "Baleine" will give you the best possible time in the mountains he loves.

The terrain in Queyras allows us to be dynamic and propose an itinerary that suits everyone.
Note that you need also to be able to climb 1000m per day.
