Ice climbing for all!
Ice climbing is not only for an elite of climbers. By choosing the right kind of terrain you can skip the fear of being in too overwhelming environnement, learn and improve and have fun all the way!
In Bessans, on the Barmette's climbing crag, the local mountain guides have been creating the perfect spot to learn or improve ice climbing.
With lines of different difficulties (from beginner level to mixed and dry tooling) and belays bolted on rock for top roping you have the perfect environnement to discover or improve under the constant supervision of a mountain guide.
Newbie or already rock or ice climber, there is something for you!
Sessions:
To adjust to your availability, we are proposing three different sessions during the day:
Morning
9am-12
Afternoon
2-5pm
Night session
6-8pm
The loan of technical gear is always included, except for the shoes. If you have a doubt about your own or need to rent, please give us a call!
You just need to comne with warm and warterproof enough clothing, as well as two pairs of gloves.
Important detail: there is a heated shelter at the foot of the icefall!
